Before surgery, make a light and healthy diet, well balanced, low fat and that meets all the needs of your body. After the operation, no diets. You need to recover – and it’s very important to feed yourself well. You should eat your meals regularly and in a healthy way. Avoid ready-to-eat, canned and preserved spices, lots of salt. And do not drink alcohol, carbonated or caffeinated drinks for at least three days. Prefer to eat fish and lean white meats instead of red meats the first week.
Use and abuse of fruits, steamed or raw vegetables, and vegetables that help your bowel to function, which is important for your recovery. For the same reason, escape from food that causes gas and constipation, such as potatoes, beans, rice, bread, cabbage etc. In the first days after liposuction, it is recommended to drink two to three liters of water, juices, isotonic.
In face and nose surgeries, the right feeding in the early days is that of easy mastication, pasty or liquid. Puddings, jellies, purees, porridges, soups, juices should be served at room temperature, avoiding very cold or very hot foods in the first 48 hours.
